Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution with three years of progressively responsible experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply per policy.
• May require professional engineer licensure (PE) in NC.

Responsibilities

• Administer highway construction contracts and ensure compliance with standards and contract requirements.
• Provide intermediate engineering support to higher level engineers on complex projects.
• Monitor expenditures on multimillion-dollar projects and review contractor requests.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and prepare project correspondence.
• Oversee up to 30 technicians and supervise inspection personnel and staff development.
