Job summary

HDR, Inc. in Seattle seeks a Senior Distribution Project Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and coordinate with clients in the Power sector. You will guide technical execution, ensure code-compliant designs, and mentor staff to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering required.
10+ years of distribution design experience.
Experience at an engineering consulting or architectural/engineering firm preferred.
Strong communication skills and client-facing experience.
Proficiency with Power Market Sector design software (PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit).

Responsibilities

Coordinate work of design engineers with a multidisciplinary team across project development.
Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings.
Serve as technical lead within the project execution team.
Participate in agency reviews for code compliance.
Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions on site.
Coordinate workload to meet project deliverables and schedule.
Work with Project Manager on project reviews and management updates.
Direct activities of other engineers and mentor staff as needed.
Perform other duties as needed.
