Job summary

1898 & Co. seeks a Distribution Planning Project Manager in Houston to apply grid planning expertise to improve grid performance and readiness for DER and electrification. You will support studies, engage utilities, and deliver actionable insights.

You will manage client relationships, develop proposals, establish study objectives, and lead a consultants/engineers team to meet project goals and deliverables.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in renewable generation with wind/solar exposure.
• Experience leading engineering or architectural projects.
• Strong knowledge of electric utility systems and grid planning.
• Proven ability to lead multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development, client relationships, and proposal efforts including budgeting and scheduling.
• Lead project execution: scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.
• Mentor and train staff; act as industry leader in power delivery planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
