Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager III - Distribution to oversee warehouse operations across a national scope. You will drive strategic processes to optimize efficiency, safety, and productivity, and lead a team of Operations Managers and staff to deliver superior customer service.

Responsibilities include managing the P&L, coordinating with vendors, and presenting performance reviews. A bachelor’s degree and extensive distribution experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience.
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution.
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics (preferred).
• Staff management is required.
• P&L management (preferred).
• Project management (preferred).
• WMS experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations (receiving, storing, shipping).
• Develop strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Lead and coach Operations Managers and staff; build a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance; maintain safe, clean operations.
• Utilize WMS, automation and tech to monitor inventory and performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and cost-effective services per agreement.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance and KPIs for decision-making.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and drive satisfaction.
• Own the site's P&L and report on financial performance.
