FedEx Logistics in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a senior operations supervisor to direct distribution activities, manage a team of 1–7 direct reports (up to 40 indirect). The role emphasizes KPI achievement, safety, and cost control while coordinating CFS/FTZ operations and cross-functional distribution tasks.

You will plan, organize and monitor inventory, ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, and develop staff through coaching and training.

Formación

• Minimum 4-Year degree preferred/ equivalent in business
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in Distribution, Warehousing, Shipping, or International Freight Forwarding, or Transportation Industry
• Advanced knowledge of International and Domestic Distribution Operational activities
• Minimum 3 years of management/supervisory experience
• Excellent management, human relations, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills
• Strong knowledge of safety awareness within an operational division
• Strong knowledge in WMS-EDI within Distribution industry
• Strong sales and business development skills preferred
• TSA Certified to operate within a CCSF if applicable
• Advanced knowledge of CFS and FTZ Operations (site specific)
• Advanced knowledge of IATA, IMDG and 49CFR DG Regulations

Responsabilidades

• Direct and promote continuous improvement and best practices in Distribution Operations
• Plan, organize and control input, movement, process/sort, and output to ensure service quality and cost control
• Lead staff (1–7 direct; up to 40 indirect) and develop team performance
• Oversee inventory/storage for 50+ clients with 25,000+ SKUs per standards and regulations
• Maintain contact with customers regarding service levels and issues
• Develop/review costs for Distribution Operational activities
• Ensure safety/compliance with OSHA, DOT, hazmat and border/regulatory requirements
• Conduct daily/regular operations meetings and performance reviews
• Maintain accurate payroll, records and documentation
• Drive process improvements and cross-functional collaboration across CFS, FTZ, and related operations
