Job summary

Duke Energy in North Carolina seeks a Line Apprentice 3 or Line Apprentice 4 to learn the distribution system, assist with construction and maintenance, and gain hands-on experience with company safety rules and procedures.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, climbing experience, and familiarity with secondary voltage. Candidates must be willing to be on-call 24/7 and to relocate within 40 minutes of the assigned site while progressing through mandated training and assessments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Experience with distribution line and service work and safety leadership is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction and maintenance of the distribution system.
• Demonstrate understanding of overhead and underground insulation principles.
• Complete Line and Service Training modules to learn distribution system operations.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with team.
