Job summary

Tri-County Electric Cooperative is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer to deliver field-usable engineering for a safe and reliable distribution system. You will own models, run studies, and provide practical recommendations for normal, outage, and emergency conditions, collaborating with System Operations, GIS, and field staff.

The role requires strong judgment, ownership, and the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable operating guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain distribution system models and data accuracy.
• Develop feeder-by-feeder backfeed options for outages.
• Support outages with options and risk assessments.
• Perform load flow, voltage, fault-current studies and determine protective settings.
• Identify overloaded equipment using data sources and correct data.
• Collaborate with Operations to reflect field conditions.
• Create engineering standards and tools for rapid outage responses.
