Job summary

Leidos in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer passionate about electric utility design engineering. You will lead electrical distribution work packages, perform design and analysis, and interact with clients to ensure high-quality deliverables in a hybrid work environment.

The role requires 4+ years of distribution project experience, a ABET-accredited engineering degree, and strong NESC knowledge.

Qualifications

4+ years of electric distribution project experience in consulting or utility setting.
ABET-accredited engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial.
Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
Experience with design quality control.
Familiarity with pole loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman) and distribution pole analysis.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Willingness to perform field and office work; possible customer-site visits.
Ability to travel as needed; own vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead development of electrical distribution work packages and perform design and analysis.
QAQC and quality reviews of team designs.
Review packages with clients and organize program work.
Analyze scope and maintain schedule adherence to client priorities.
Interact with clients regularly to support projects.
Provide engineering support during construction and post-construction reviews.
Coordinate conflicting utilities and assist with permits, easements, and ROW.
