Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in the Framingham, MA area who is passionate about electric utility design engineering. You will work directly with clients to ensure high-quality work and will gain experience across NESC, Structural Pole Modeling, Electrical Power Calculations, GIS design training, Field Data Collection, and Client Design Standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in electric distribution for utilities or consulting.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial.
• Experience with National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman) and distribution pole analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrical distribution work packages and perform design/analysis.
• QA/QC tasks and quality reviews of team designs prior to client submittals.
• Review engineering packages with clients and organize program work.
• Perform scope analysis and maintain schedule adherence to client priorities.
• Interact directly with clients on a frequent basis and provide field/constructive support.
• Coordinate with utilities, prepare work permits, easements, and ROW applications.
• Possibly perform field data collection; may require some customer-site visits.
