Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Distribution Designer I–Sr. to meet customer needs by designing overhead and underground distribution facilities and coordinating projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or 1 year Electric Utility Distribution (or Transmission) Design experience or >2 years Electric Utility field operational experience or Department Sr. Manager approval in lieu of all requirements.
• Designer II requires 2 years Electric Utility Distribution Design experience and a Bachelor’s degree or 2 additional years of Design experience or >2 years field experience or Sr. Manager approval.
• Designer III requires 4 years Electric Utility Distribution Design experience and a degree or 2 additional years of design experience or >2 years field experience or Sr. Manager approval.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple distribution projects for new residential and commercial businesses.
• Coordinate pre-design and pre-construction meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations (load studies, fault current, voltage drop, etc.).
• Provide leadership and technical support to operations and ensure compliance with design standards and practices.
• Aid Right of Way with permits and ROW documents.
• Assist with storm restoration efforts as needed.
