Job summary

Entergy Mississippi, LLC is seeking a Distribution Designer I–Sr to meet with customers, design distribution projects, and prepare drawings to install, replace, or remove facilities. This role involves coordinating pre-design meetings, performing load studies, and guiding field teams in compliance with design standards.

Responsibilities include cost estimation, construction drawings, and stakeholder coordination to deliver reliable electric service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or 1-year Electric Utility Distribution design experience.
• 2 years Electric Utility Distribution design experience required at Designer II level.
• 4 years Electric Utility Distribution design experience required for Designer III.
• 6 years Electric Utility Distribution design experience required for Designer Sr.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple distribution projects for new residential and commercial customers.
• Meet with customers to determine service needs and design overhead/underground extensions.
• Estimate costs, prepare construction drawings, and coordinate construction commits.
• Lead pre-design and pre-construction meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform engineering calculations (load studies, fault current, voltage drop).
• Provide leadership and ensure compliance with distribution design standards.
