Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5+ years in industrial or manufacturing engineering with focus on applying discrete event simulation to improve process efficiency.
• Extremely proficient with discrete-event simulation tools.
• Familiarity with FlexScript, SimTalk, C++, and/or Python.
• Knowledge of statistics, uncertainty, and sensitivity analysis.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with multi-project management ability.

Responsibilities

• Build discrete event simulation models for manufacturing and logistics processes (Body, Paint, Drive Unit, Battery, General Assembly, Supply Chain).
• Manage multiple integrators and integrate their outputs into shop and factory models.
• Develop decision frameworks with quantifiable tradeoffs for factory performance and processes.
• Optimize plant layouts by analyzing throughput, bottlenecks, buffers, and material routing.
• Collaborate with Automation & Controls to validate models with real data and drive improvements.
• Develop and sustain digital twin models to test and validate manufacturing systems.
