Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Senior Discovery Business and System Analyst to support the Legal department and a growing portfolio of government-focused accounts. This full-time, executive-level role emphasizes documenting, analyzing, and optimizing business processes and IT capabilities.

You will lead requirements management, perform gap and capability analyses, and craft testing and evaluation artifacts to guide purchasing decisions. Strong collaboration with PMO and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Document and manage new and existing business processes to support training, analysis, and redesign.
• Analyze existing and new business processes and identify opportunities to improve workforce efficiency.
• Conduct gap analyses for required modifications to existing processes.
• Create and maintain a requirements database documenting how each requirement is supported.
• Validate proposed solutions meet underlying needs.
• Collect marketing materials from solution providers to support business requirements.
• Document and manage new and existing functional capabilities from IT solutions.
• Analyze capabilities against business requirements to find technology gaps impacting processes.
• Produce an Analysis of Alternatives for PMO to prioritize projects.
• Validate that proposed solutions deliver new business capabilities addressing requirements.
• Build and execute thorough test scripts to evaluate products and provide purchase recommendations.
• Review configuration changes to keep Discovery Program business capabilities up to date.
• Perform other systems analysis research and documentation tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test scripts to measure capability breadth and depth.
• Review solution configurations to maintain accurate business capability mappings.
• Complete other analysis/research tasks as assigned.
