Job summary

GrowNYC is seeking a General Manager, Wholesale Operations to lead day-to-day wholesale activities, including receiving, storage, inventory, order fulfillment, and outbound delivery. You will supervise operations staff, set priorities, and ensure adherence to food safety, OSHA, and company standards while managing budgets and vendor relations.

The role focuses on expanding distribution, improving processes, and supporting the mission to provide equitable access to fresh, locally grown food.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in wholesale distribution, warehousing or logistics.
• 5+ years of staff management and performance reviews.
• Experience managing operations budgets and controlling costs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day wholesale operations, inventory, and delivery.
• Lead operations managers and staff development; establish priorities and deadlines.
• Ensure safety, food safety, and compliance with regulations; manage budgets and vendor contracts.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Sales on inventory, fulfillment and service levels.
