Job summary

Our Client seeks a senior logistics leader to direct and optimize transportation and distribution operations in a fast-paced warehousing environment. You will oversee policy development, budgeting, and continuous improvement initiatives while aligning with customers and suppliers to ensure high service levels.

The role requires building a talented, compliant, high-performance team on-site, with responsibility for coaching staff and driving cost efficiency across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in fast-paced warehousing with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience in a 3PL environment supporting multiple customers or lines of business.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills.
• Solid financial, analytical and P&L experience.
• Familiarity with Lean techniques and continuous improvement models.
• Experience with warehouse and transportation management systems (WMS/TMS).
• Experience working with remote headquarters and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to build a high-trust, high-performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains logistics operations plans including labor, costs, and schedules.
• Sets standards, budgets, and cost controls; collects data on delivery dates and specs.
• Guides logistics process planning, staffing, materials, and tooling requirements.
• Ensures costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
• Coordinates logistics with other functions and suppliers for optimal resources.
• Manages operational expenses and financial performance.
• Reviews reports and resolves operational, logistics, and maintenance issues.
• Oversees shipping/receiving, picking/packing, and inventory control.
• Leads performance conversations, coaching, and talent development.
• Drives a high-performance culture and enforces company policies.
