Job summary

Industry Leader in the Greater New York Area seeks a hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead distribution, warehouse operations, inventory control, safety, transportation, and team performance. This floor-focused leadership role requires someone who can bring greater organization, accountability, data, and systems to a growing operation while earning the trust of an established team.

Qualifications

10+ years in distribution, warehouse or operations leadership.
Hands-on experience in high-volume distribution environments.
Proven track record driving inventory accuracy and productivity.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day distribution and warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, delivery, staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
Drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliation, location management, root-cause analysis, and effective use of ERP/WMS systems.
Lead warehouse safety, operational standards, SOPs, KPIs, and performance reporting while identifying bottlenecks and implementing sustainable improvements.
Oversee transportation and delivery operations, including routing, scheduling, fleet activity, carrier relationships, freight costs, and applicable compliance requirements.
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees and drivers; establish clear expectations, reinforce accountability, and guide the team through operational change.
