Job summary

TransUnion LLC seeks a Principal, Strategic Planning to lead growth strategies for Utility & Energy sectors. The role partners with Sales, Solutions, Marketing, FP&A, Product, and Delivery to drive revenue and market expansion across strategic accounts.

The hybrid role reports to the Senior VP of Strategic Planning and requires deep market insight, cross-functional leadership, and a track record of translating market priorities into commercial plans.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of market development, business development, strategic planning, or commercial leadership experience within Utility/Energy sectors.
• Deep knowledge of Utility & Energy market dynamics, customer buying processes, regulatory considerations, and industry trends.
• Proven experience converting market opportunities into commercial outcomes through target-account strategies and revenue realization.
• Strong executive stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership in matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing/Finance/Economics/Engineering; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of Utility & Energy growth strategies to drive pipeline creation and revenue growth.
• Identify and advance strategic opportunities across Utility & Energy segments, including account activation and whitespace capture.
• Partner with Sales leadership to prioritize accounts, monitor progression, and improve pipeline conversion.
• Deliver seller enablement programs and commercialization strategies to support revenue and market penetration.
• Track KPIs such as whitespace progression, pipeline influence, and revenue performance for strategic decisions.
• Lead Customer Advisory Boards and industry engagement to validate demand and generate opportunities.
