Job summary

Muon Space in Northern Virginia seeks a Senior Director of Business Development to lead USG Federal growth, focusing on the Intelligence Community and Department of War.

You will build and lead the Federal BD team, shape multi-year capture strategies, engage customers, drive proposals, and collaborate with engineering, legal, and finance. The role requires 10+ years in aerospace/defense, active TS clearance, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in aerospace/defense with 8+ years in Business Development.
• Able to build and execute plans with clear ownership.
• Experience with USG captures and leading proposals.
• Proven success capturing space business within the IC.
• Strong leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% and hold an active TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive near and long term growth for Muon Space in the USG Federal market.
• Lead and manage the Federal BD team and develop multi-year capture strategy.
• Oversee customer engagement, pipeline development and capture efforts.
• Lead proposals, RFIs, and price-to-win activities with technical teams.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, legal and finance; mentor staff.
• Translate customer needs into the technology roadmap and strategy.
