Confidential Search is seeking a Director of Sustainability and Compliance to lead programs, regulatory initiatives, reporting, and community impact in a growing sustainable packaging company based in Atlanta. This hands-on, collaborative role translates commitments into measurable business outcomes while guiding cross‑functional teams.

The position offers remote or hybrid work, with onsite presence in the Atlanta area as needed. Base salary: $110,000–$120,000/year, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–8 years in sustainability, environmental compliance, or related fields.
• Experience coordinating initiatives, regulatory programs, reporting, or certifications.
• Familiarity with EPR, compostability standards, FSC, BPI, or B‑Corp processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into actionable processes.
• Hands-on yet strategic in a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day sustainability programs, initiatives, and reporting.
• Coordinate B Corp certification readiness, documentation, and reporting.
• Manage sustainability data, environmental reporting, and impact measurement.
• Support composting, waste diversion, and circular economy initiatives.
• Coordinate community giving, product donations, and environmental partnerships.
• Monitor regulatory compliance documentation and filings.
• Provide sustainability guidance across departments and for customer inquiries.
• Represent the organization at conferences and external engagements.
• Lead team development, budgeting, and process improvements.
