Job summary

Creighton University in Omaha, NE seeks an Associate Director for Student Accounts and Compliance to oversee contracts, 1098-T processing, collections, and audit activities across student billing. The role ensures regulatory compliance and accuracy in revenue processing and tax reporting.

Collaborating with Enrollment Management and campus partners, you will manage external agencies, ESAs, and military education benefits, while driving process improvements and financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, higher education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in student financial services or higher education finance or related fields.
• Experience with audits and compliance reviews.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
• Advanced understanding of Banner Student Accounts Receivable and Banner Financial Aid.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; present information to top management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts and invoices for ESAs, external agencies, and vendors.
• Coordinate 1098-T tax form setup, testing and distribution.
• Lead internal and external audits and ensure documentation.
• Manage collections and delinquent accounts with external agencies.
• Liaise with Military Affairs on tuition discounts and related processes.
• Assist in monthly reconciliations and audit support.
