Job summary

Creighton University Athletics is actively seeking a Graduate Assistant to join the Athletics Compliance Office, reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and the Director of Compliance. The role involves monitoring, research, educational presentations, and data review to uphold Big East and NCAA standards.

The successful candidate will help with evaluating admissions, monitoring recruitment, CARA activities, and developing educational materials for staff and coaches,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Admission to and full-time enrollment in a Creighton University graduate program.
• Available for the entirety of a two-year graduate program.
• High level of initiative and ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with all aspects of the position.
• Prior experience in NCAA Compliance, especially at the Division I level.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating prospective student-athletes’ applications and transcripts to ensure initial academic eligibility.
• Monitor prospective student-athlete recruitment (phone calls, text messaging, social media, contacts, evaluations, official and unofficial visits, and tryouts).
• Monitor student-athletes’ countable athletically related activities (CARA).
• Draft and present educational material for coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
• Assist in the creation, review, and monitoring of athletic financial aid agreements.
• Update and assign compliance-related forms in Teamworks Compliance + Recruiting.
• Help maintain team rosters, track student managers and assist with NCAA personnel legislation.
• Use various software programs to assist with data entry and management.
• Other duties as assigned.
