Job summary

Flagship Pioneering, Inc. seeks a Sr. Director, Strategy and Operations in Cambridge, MA, to lead Origination Team strategy and governance.

You will coordinate diverse teams, optimize workflows, and drive value creation across a portfolio of biotech companies with a strong emphasis on program management and cross-functional collaboration. You will partner with Finance, HR, Legal, IT and other functions to ensure timely execution of initiatives, and develop talent and culture within Origination

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering preferred; Ph.D. a plus.
• 7+ years of biotech/industry experience in drug discovery, development, or related fields.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with multiple therapeutics modalities is a plus.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set organizational priorities with Origination Team Leaders and track KPIs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives impacting the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Legal, IT, and other groups to ensure collaboration.
• Provide visibility into resource allocation across projects and companies.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefs and presentations for senior leaders.
• Develop and utilize program management tools and best practices.
