Biogen in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Senior Director, New Ventures to drive external innovation and portfolio growth within Corporate Development. You will identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-potential opportunities to augment Biogen's pipeline and long-term growth through strategic partnerships and investments.

Formación

• Ph.D. or M.D. in life sciences or related field is required.
• 8+ years of experience in biotechnology, venture capital, or pharmaceutical industries.
• Experience in venture capital firms and/or formation and operationalization of seed/Series A companies.
• Deep knowledge of biotech operating models, portfolio risk management, and early drug discovery/development.
• Proficiency with multiple transaction types (equity, option deals) and complex deal structures.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and evaluate opportunities across scientific, medical, and technological landscapes.
• Lead cross-functional due diligence teams and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external KOLs.
• Triage and prioritize opportunities; manage a comprehensive deal database.
• Prepare deal summaries and presentations for senior leadership highlighting scientific and strategic value.
• Align external programs with Biogen's R&D by tracking and assessing transitions into the internal pipeline.
• Support portfolio companies and potentially serve as a Board observer.
• Build and maintain networks within venture capital and biotech communities.
