Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a leader in MANET and MN-MIMO solutions, seeks a Director of Business Development for USSOCOM. The role drives long-range capture, builds broad stakeholder relationships, shapes requirements, and leads multi-year programs.

This is a remote-friendly role reporting to Strategic Growth, with travel and DoD program expertise essential. You will manage end-to-end capture, coordinate with prime contractors, OEMs and end users, and stay ahead of market trends to shape opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; or High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience.
• 5+ years in defense sales or business development, focused on USSOCOM.
• Proven track record capturing long-cycle DoD programs.
• Experience building relationships within USSOCOM and primes.
• Experience leading all phases of capture (RFPs, proposals, teaming).

Responsibilities

• Program Capture: own and drive capture for large-scale SOCOM programs.
• Relationship Building: cultivate relationships with program offices, primes, OEMs, and end users.
• Requirements Shaping: influence technical requirements for long-term programs.
• Strategic Pursuits: manage lifecycle from horizon scanning to award.
• Cross-Functional Teaming: align strategy with MDE and Sales for handover to execution.
• Market Intelligence: monitor trends, competitors, and funding priorities.
• Travel up to 50% to engage customers and advance goals.
