Job summary

Travelers Insurance seeks a Senior Director to lead Sourcing Risk & Operations within the S&SM team, shaping risk management for the Tech & Ops supplier portfolio and building proactive, enterprise-wide frameworks.

The role partners with procurement, legal, and business leadership to align supplier governance, drive portfolio design, and deliver executive briefings and performance insights across the organization.

Qualifications

• Typically 9+ years of Finance, Audit, Procurement or Sales/Servicing related experience.
• Master's or other advanced degree.
• Thorough knowledge of project management processes.
• Thorough knowledge of business law, contracts and cash flow.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency of eSourcing and Ariba procurement applications.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supplier risk management for the Tech&Ops strategic supplier portfolio, including risk reviews, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
• Develop a portfolio-based approach to Tech&Ops strategic supplier population and governance.
• Lead executive briefing materials for senior executives within Tech&Ops and partner with stakeholders to provide a holistic view of supplier relationships.
• Manage BC/DR planning and readiness across S&SM’s strategic suppliers, including tabletop testing and incident communications.
• Oversee offshore development center footprint, site audits, and governance controls; own SOC review outcomes.
• Lead and develop the Sourcing Risk & Operations team with clear direction and tooling.
• Maintain knowledge of suppliers' capabilities, roadmaps, and competitive positioning.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, Workforce Management, and Tech & Ops leadership to align frameworks to enterprise objectives.
