Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering with an environmental or solid waste emphasis and 5 years of progressively responsible municipal solid waste management experience.
• Florida PE preferred; valid Florida driver’s license required; related certifications like MOLO or SWANA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, review, and oversight of landfill maintenance projects and RNG-related initiatives.
• Supervise SWDD staff and administer contracts, invoices, and procurement.
• Coordinate with regulators, consultants, and the public to ensure compliance and project progress.
• Assist in budgeting, annual reports, and Capital Improvement Element planning.
