Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
  • Four years of professional engineering experience including two years in lead/supervisory capacity with project management responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, regulatory requirements, and public works standards.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct work of a team and manage budgets and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and review work of professional and technical staff and consultants on multiple Public Works projects.
  • Prepares and negotiates consultant selection, scope, budget, and schedule; prepares project management plans.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, invoices, and change orders; ensure funding and cost recovery.
  • Represent the department with agencies and stakeholders to coordinate projects and funding.
