Job summary

Valeris is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead strategy, delivery, and support of patient engagement platforms and enterprise applications. You will partner with Product Management, Compliance, Security, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure technologies that improve patient care and operational efficiency.

You will mentor engineering managers and teams, drive cloud modernization and best practices, and ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing software teams.
• Experience leading enterprise apps in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of modern architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, and integration tech.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the software engineering strategy aligned with goals.
• Build and maintain a technology roadmap supporting growth and ops.
• Lead engineering teams and drive recruitment, mentorship, and performance.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of apps.
• Drive cloud-native, API-first, and microservices architectures.
• Ensure HIPAA-compliant, secure development practices.
• Define and monitor engineering KPIs and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data & Analytics, and Client Services.
