Job summary

Valeris, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead strategy, delivery, and ongoing support of patient engagement platforms and related enterprise applications.

You will partner with Product, Compliance, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant technologies that enhance patient outcomes. You will drive modernization initiatives, guide architecture, and mentor engineering teams across cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), APIs, and data integrations while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing software engineering teams and managers.
• Experience leading enterprise application development in healthcare, patient services, life sciences, or related regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architecture, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud), APIs, and integration technologies.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale application development and digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements within healthcare environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the software engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals and patient support service objectives.
• Build and maintain a technology roadmap that supports business growth, operational scalability, and client requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to improve platform performance and service delivery.
• Partner with executive leadership to prioritize technology investments and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing software engineering teams and managers.
• Establish engineering standards, development methodologies, and software lifecycle management processes.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Manage recruitment, performance management, and employee development initiatives.
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software applications.
• Drive Agile practices and continuous delivery capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and timelines.
• Guide architecture decisions and promote cloud-native, API-first, microservices approaches.
• Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance in all solutions.
• Define and monitor engineering KPIs and oversee production support and incident management.
