Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Director of Card Acquisitions Risk Strategy within the Card Credit Decisioning Unit in the United States. You will define risk appetite, manage credit risk for Small & Medium Business Card Acquisitions, and shape underwriting policies to support responsible growth.

You will collaborate across risk, underwriting, legal, and finance to balance growth with risk. You will lead a team, develop risk management frameworks, and provide strategic direction to optimize credit

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field required.
10+ years of direct to consumer lending, originations, and/or retail credit experience.
Strong judgment and quantitative/qualitative finance and analytical skills.
Proven leadership and ability to collaborate across teams and lines of business.

Responsibilities

Define the Credit Box in partnership with SMB Product GM's, Finance, and Credit Risk team.
Lead alignment with Product, Finance and Risk to define and execute strategies to achieve credit goals.
Assess new credit opportunities with product and risk teams; define execution plans.
Set up reviews to ensure credit box assumptions are met.
Define variables for new credit models and interface with modeling team.
Recruit and develop talent for acquisitions credit decisioning unit.
Develop metrics and report performance to senior leadership.
Shape credit policies, underwriting standards, and risk management frameworks.
Ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal controls in credit risk.
Collaborate across business lines to balance growth and risk.
Provide approvals/recommendations for complex acquisitions-related credit transactions.
