Job summary
Western Alliance Bank in San Diego, CA seeks a Senior Director, SBA Banking to lead a team of Commercial Bankers, BDOs, and Portfolio Managers, driving growth and portfolio health.
You will guide credit structuring, supervise risk management, and collaborate with senior leaders to execute strategic plans while developing your team and expanding market share through top-tier client relationships.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Previous leadership experience required.
- Expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Commercial Bankers, BDOs, and Portfolio Management staff to grow market share, portfolio and deposits.
- Support the Head of Business Banking in executing the strategic plan and growing the loan and deposit portfolio for the region.
- Guide credit structuring and present to senior loan committees.
- Manage portfolio health and mitigate risk from market dynamics and service delivery issues, while ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Hire, coach, and develop team members and leadership capabilities.
