Western Alliance Bank, a subsidiary of Western Alliance Bancorporation, seeks a Vice President, SBA Business Banking in San Jose to lead SBA 7(a)/504 loan opportunities, coordinate with Credit Administrators and Loan Operations, and ensure timely, compliant processing across the SBA team.

The role requires 7+ years SBA lending, a finance or accounting degree, deep SBA program knowledge, strong credit analysis, and excellent written and verbal communication; travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SBA lending or related experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of SBA 7(a)/504 lending programs and eligibility
• Commercial credit analysis and loan structuring skills
• SBA processing and regulatory knowledge

Responsibilities

• Draft Opportunity Memos for SBA loans across the bank enterprise.
• Evaluate SBA eligibility and ensure compliance before approvals.
• Review credit quality and SBA structure including loan costs.
• Coordinate information gathering with lenders and processing teams.
• Track SBA CAO decisions, update OM, and issue Term Sheets.
• Present loan structures to lenders for 7(a) and 504 opportunities.
• Support training of Sales Team and generation of new SBA loans.
• Ensure audit and control points are met within SLA requirements.
