Western Alliance Bancorporation is seeking a Senior Director, SBA Banking in San Diego to lead a team of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers and Portfolio Management staff. You will drive growth, guide credit structuring, and manage portfolio health while supporting the division's strategic plan and regional objectives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand market share and grow the portfolio.
• Support Head of Business Banking in executing the strategic plan and meeting sales objectives, portfolio health, and market dynamics.
• Guide credit structuring development, customer assessment, and presentation to senior loan committees.
• Manage portfolio health, address deteriorating loan performance, and mitigate risk from market developments and service delivery.
• Foster relationships with executive leaders in partner departments and ensure compliance with processes, risk mitigation, and customer service.
• Lead and develop the team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
