Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks an experienced Director of Rehabilitation to oversee operations across its facilities in the region. The role directs Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and manages budget, quality, and staffing to meet patient and physician needs.

Responsibilities include mentoring DORs, ensuring coverage, executing strategic initiatives, and collaborating with clinical leadership to drive service excellence and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in OT, SLP, or PT.
• Minimum five (5) years of clinical therapy experience.
• At least two to three years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assumes ultimate responsibility for rehabilitation service operations within assigned region.
• Ensures delivery of quality services and outcomes to meet expectations of patients, physicians, and staff.
• Mentors and trains new Directors of Rehab to assure consistency of quality rehab services across the region.
• Provides adequate coverage of therapy services in all facilities in the region.
• Plans, organizes and directs operational activities of Rehabilitation Services; implements system-wide strategic initiatives.
• Integrates the strategic plan of the organization with the business operations.
• Reviews quality and appropriateness of total services and individual therapy programs for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provides management oversight for development of high quality, cost effective clinical programs.
• Responsible for all aspects of service line programs including program development, patient satisfaction and performance improvement.
• Develops and fosters collaboration between facility departments, clinical staff leadership and affiliates for integrated service delivery.
• Develops strategic plans to forecast revenues, expenses and capital needs for service lines.
• Develops and manages annual budgets and performs cost/productivity analyses.
• Develops new business strategies to enhance market share and performance.
• Markets service lines to physicians and community to achieve volumes and growth.
• Leads cross-functional teams to reduce costs, increase revenues, improve utilization and quality.
• Establishes policies for compliance with regulations; monitors and implements the strategic and financial plan for rehabilitation services.
• Develops staffing plans based on volumes, patient acuity and workload.
• Provides leadership support to Rehab Directors and therapists with resources, tools, education.
