Job summary

The Washington Post is seeking a senior leader for our Global Advertising team to drive multi-million-dollar revenue growth and expand relationships with senior clients in the public and corporate affairs space.

You will lead and develop high-performing teams, craft integrated campaigns across digital, print, events, audio and social, and stay ahead of industry trends including AI-driven opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in media sales within DC and the public affairs category.
• At least 4 years of proven management experience, with a track record of leading high-performing sales teams.
• Extensive network of senior client and agency relationships within DC.
• Experience managing multi-million dollar client accounts and expanding business within those accounts.
• Ability to travel to client locations when in-person meetings are required.
• Strong presentation and in-person sales skills with a track record of building relationships.
• Knowledge of the digital media market and ability to respond to market direction and client needs.
• Ability to establish rapport and sell ideas to senior management.
• A strong work ethic with a history of meeting quarterly/annual goals.
• Desire to manage a team through the full sales process.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for relationships across the Public and Corporate Affairs landscape to deliver sustained revenue growth.
• Build and execute account strategies aligning client objectives with The Post’s media and data capabilities.
• Represent The Washington Post at key client meetings, industry events, and thought-leadership forums.
• Partner with internal strategy, creative, and operations teams to design and sell integrated campaigns.
• Anticipate industry trends and advise clients on opportunities where The Post’s platforms offer a competitive advantage.
• Report on team performance, forecasting, and pipeline health with accountability.
