Job summary

Xero in California seeks a Senior Director of Product & Technology Finance to lead financial planning and analysis across Cost to Serve, Product, Technology, and Engineering. You will champion business casing, forecasting, and workforce planning while partnering with senior leaders to ensure strong ROI and capital discipline.

You will oversee financial strategy, modeling, and capital allocation, building a high-performing FP&A team and delivering insights that influence decisions at the highest

Qualifications

• 12+ years in finance, with evidence of senior leadership.
• Experience in a global SaaS or technology company, fast-paced startup environment also acceptable.
• Experience supporting Product & Tech and/or R&D organizations.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to increase efficiency and impact.
• Excellent communication skills to make recommendations to senior leaders.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate a clear financial strategy for the Product & Technology function.
• Lead financial planning cycles for operating plans, roadmaps and targets.
• Create and maintain sophisticated financial models for scenarios and risks.
• Evaluate and optimize capital allocation strategies with strong ROI focus.
• Build, mentor and manage a high-performing FP&A team.
• Provide financial insights to support decision-making across the organization.
• Collaborate with Go-to-Market and Operating Plans to ensure alignment.
