Job summary

AV is seeking a Director of Finance in California to lead financial operations for the Product Line, partnering with senior leadership to drive performance and capital Management. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy, while mentoring a team and ensuring strong internal controls.

The role requires extensive experience in finance for aerospace/defense/tech sectors, with a track record in public company settings, ERP/FP systems, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• 12+ years of finance experience in Aerospace/Defense/Technology with 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Experience with project accounting.
• Experience with ERP & Financial Planning Systems (Oracle / Hyperion).
• Experience managing budgets and annual planning processes.
• Experience reviewing contracts and building financial models.
• Experience in a product-based company with inventory and warranty accounting.
• Experience in a public company.

Responsibilities

• Direct financial control and reporting, including budgets/forecasts and performance reviews.
• Lead and mentor Product Line Finance staff and managers.
• Participate in pricing strategy and bid reviews; monitor margin performance.
• Develop and implement financial strategies at the Product Line level.
• Drive Finance capability improvements and process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance and key financial controls across the organization.
• Perform complex financial analyses for monthly/quarterly/annual submissions.
• Provide regular and ad hoc financial information to leadership.
• Oversee relationships with corporate accounting and external auditors.
• Support operations with financial analysis, transaction processing, and cost data.
