Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Senior Director of Payor Contracting, Practice Integration & Transition Support to lead all payor-facing contracting activity for newly acquired or affiliated practices. This hybrid role combines payor negotiation, project management, and relationship leadership to ensure in-network status from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in payor contracting, managed care, or provider network management.
• Direct experience negotiating commercial, Medicare Advantage, and/or Medicaid MCO contracts.
• Prior experience supporting multi-site healthcare practice acquisitions preferred.
• Strong contract negotiation and fee schedule analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead payor contracting & negotiation for newly acquired practices, targeting favorable rates and terms.
• Maintain payor contract library and tracking across all practices.
• Own the payor-related workstream of the integration playbook: pre-close assessment, day-one readiness, post-close rate reconciliation.
• Serve as primary contact between new practice and internal teams on payor matters.
• Drive cross-department collaboration to ensure timely credentialing and uninterrupted patient access.
• Build and manage payor contracting timelines and risk tracking.
• Lead onboarding conversations with practice owners and billing staff.
• Track integration milestones and report payor readiness to leadership.
