Darkroom is hiring a Senior Director, Paid Social — the head of our Paid Social practice. This executive role owns strategy, performance, and commercial health, leads a team, and is accountable for outcomes across the client portfolio.

The ideal candidate is a recognized expert in Meta direct response advertising, has scaled ad accounts to $1M+ per month, and can build an organization that runs without constant hands-on involvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of paid media advertising experience.
• 5+ years leading paid social teams, including managers.
• Proven experience building or scaling a paid social practice or department.
• Experience owning or influencing a practice or department P&L.
• Track record of overseeing paid social portfolios at high spend levels (10M+).
• Executive presence with CMOs, founders, and internal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the multi-year vision, strategy, and performance of Darkroom's Paid Social practice.
• Sit on the Paid Media leadership team and partner with the MD on OKRs, planning, budgeting, and headcount.
• Own the practice’s commercial health, including revenue, margin, retention, and growth.
• Shape the service offering, defining scopes, pricing, and new lines.
• Lead business development and join key pitches with senior stakeholders.
• Build and grow a team of 10+ across roles, with clear leadership development plans.
• Set org design and hiring plans with Recruiting; define roles and levels.
• Establish career paths and performance reviews for the practice.
