GlobalFoundries in Burlington, VT is seeking a Senior Director to define an organizational structure, recruit and develop the leadership team, and set the technical and operational strategy across advanced packaging, optics, and product engineering for GF’s Integrated Optics portfolio. Qualifications

• 15+ years in semiconductor or photonics packaging with advanced packaging/optical integration.
• Proven track record building or scaling a technical organization and leaders.
• Experience managing OSAT partner relationships and global multi-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for OPT Development across packaging, optics, and product engineering.
• Lead design and architecture decisions for optical/photonic modules including substrate and co-packaging.
• Drive yield enhancement programs using SPC and root-cause analysis to close gaps.
• Own Packaging Qualification & Reliability strategy, tests, stress and reliability modeling.
• Direct the Optics function’s roadmap for optics/laser solutions and alignment.
• Guide investigations including FA to close field issues with design changes.
• Partner with Test engineering to co-develop test strategy and qualification needs.
• Set technical requirements and oversee external assembly/test partners.
• Evaluate and down-select advanced packaging/optical integration technologies.
• Collaborate with Silicon Products Development for EIC/PIC and optical engine alignment.
