Job summary

The Director of Supplier Development Engineering at Eaton will shape supplier capability across the global base, enabling new supplier launches, capacity expansion, and product launches for data-center growth.

This role leads a team of 45 supplier quality professionals and 5 direct reports, driving APQP/PPAP, risk mitigation, and Lean/Six Sigma to improve readiness and resilience across the Electrical segment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• 12+ years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience managing technical teams and cross-functional organizations.
• Experience leading large-scale supplier capability improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting new product introductions, capacity expansions, supplier transfers, and manufacturing growth programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional supplier development strategy aligned with Global Procurement objectives, business growth, risk management, and capacity expansion goals.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, launch readiness, production-rate validation, and industrialization efforts across suppliers.
• Champion supplier capability development focusing on manufacturing excellence, process maturity, and operational scalability.
• Provide executive oversight for supplier risk assessments, manufacturing risk reviews, and mitigation plans for high-risk suppliers.
• Lead deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and production-readiness methodologies across the supply base.
