Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Director of Supplier Development Engineering to shape the capability and resilience of its global supplier base, influencing the launch of new suppliers and products, scale capacity, and deliver for customers. You will lead 5 direct reports and 45 supplier quality professionals in a newly created role within the Electrical segment for Data Center growth.

The position emphasizes strategy, risk management, and manufacturing excellence, with up to 50% travel and multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Procurement.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive leadership experience managing technical teams, managers, and cross-functional organizations.
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale supplier capability improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Experience supporting new product introductions, capacity expansions, supplier transfers, operational turnarounds, and manufacturing growth programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Supplier Development organization and regional strategy aligned with Global Procurement objectives, business growth, risk management, and capacity expansion.
• Drive APQP, PPAP, launch readiness, production-rate validation, industrialization, capacity expansions, and regionalization strategies.
• Drive supplier capability improvement focusing on manufacturing excellence, process maturity, operational effectiveness, scalability, and readiness.
• Provide executive oversight for supplier capability assessments, manufacturing risk reviews, and supplier recovery initiatives.
• Champion deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and production readiness methodologies across the supply base.
