Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Director of Safety in Phoenix, AZ to lead safety strategy and programs for large electrical construction projects. This senior role requires building strong field partnerships, driving accountability, and ensuring OSHA compliance across complex sites.

The candidate will develop and maintain safety programs, train staff, and coordinate with project executives and supervisors to embed safety into all work. Excellent leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction safety management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Experience with large-scale, complex construction projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement workplace safety programs.
• Proven track record in conducting safety audits and implementing corrective actions.
• Proficiency in using safety inspection tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company’s safety programs across major projects.
• Conduct regular safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Train employees on safety protocols and procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate safety into work procedures.
• Investigate accidents and recommend policy changes to prevent recurrences.
• Stay updated on OSHA and safety regulations and implement changes.
• Ensure safety equipment is maintained and available.
• Maintain safety documentation and training records.
