Job summary

City Year in Milwaukee seeks a Senior Director of Development to lead strategic fundraising campaigns and private revenue growth. This role partners with the Executive Director, donors, and city-wide teams to advance City Year’s mission of expanding educational opportunities through national service.

The ideal candidate will build durable donor relationships and drive annual revenue with integrity and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive fundraising experience or comparable relationship management experience.
• Authorized documentation to work in the United States of America.
• Criminal background history clearance to work with school-age children, depending on the position.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising Strategy & Execution to meet annual revenue goals and position City Year for growth.
• Inspire, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors with emphasis on major gifts.
• Develop and deepen corporate partnerships and foundation grants for significant support.
• Collaborate with the national Development team on multi-site and national partnerships.
• Oversee compelling grant proposals and timely funder reporting.
• Monitor revenue performance and use data to optimize fundraising strategies.
• Portfolio Management with a $750,000 personal revenue target and $25,000+ donors.
• Conduct 75+ donor engagements annually including meetings and calls.
• Maintain donor records in Salesforce and update moves management.
