Job summary

The Arizona Food Bank Network (AzFBN) seeks a Senior Director of Development in Phoenix to lead the nonprofit’s fundraising program, focusing on middle and major donors, monthly giving, and robust stewardship. This role oversees Marketing/Communications, a small team, and vendor contracting to support donor growth.

You will drive strategy, oversee DonorPerfect/EveryAction data, and report metrics to leadership while guiding campaigns across channels to sustain a mature donor program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• At least five years fundraising/development experience, with preference for hunger/human services organizations.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple media and formats.
• Experience leading a team to develop strategy and deliver results.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit individual donors via email, direct mail, in person, and other methods from planning through execution.
• Represent fundraising for leadership team; update metrics and provide narratives for financial explanations
• Oversee storytelling and media to advance AzFBN brand
• Develop and execute donor stewardship strategies with staff and executive team
• Manage data integrity and use of DonorPerfect and EveryAction for fundraising
• Grants program management including writing, prospecting, and reporting
• Middle and major donor case management and tailored communications
