Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Director of Logistic Operations to lead regional site activities, partner with site General Managers, and optimize value for customers. The role drives long-range plans to maximize efficiency and profit while upholding Kenco’s guiding principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business management, logistics, or related field required; MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years of supply chain management, business management or logistics experience required.
• 3–5 years of logistic site leadership with budgetary experience required.
• Lean Six Sigma and/or Supply Chain certification or training preferred.
• Strong leadership and management skills with demonstrated ability to maximize team performance.
• Robust understanding of supply chain strategies.
• Strong customer relationship skills; ability to balance and manage customer expectations.
• Strong problem-solving, planning/organization and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional articulation.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Execute and aid in forming the network vision and translate it downstream to sites and employees.
• Identify new business opportunities and maximize revenue and margins with existing customers; own customer relationships.
• Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews; showcase performance and value.
• Oversee day-to-day site performance against KPI’s; introduce new KPI’s to amplify insight.
• Meet monthly with all General Managers to ensure line of sight of operations.
• Drive safety initiatives across the network to reduce risk.
• Develop and review customer profiles; cascade improvements from reviews.
• Build business cases and present value solutions aligned with customer objectives.
• Provide leadership, coaching and training; work with Learning & Development for staff growth.
• Lead implementation of new programs across cross-functional teams.
• Use Lean Six Sigma tools to assess site capabilities for efficiency, safety, quality, and financial performance.
• Regularly visit sites and maintain management presence aligned with Kenco principles.
• Other duties as assigned.
