Job summary

LJA Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director of Land Development to lead strategic planning, project design, QA and client management. The role focuses on executing project design and management to meet objectives while collaborating with senior management to develop systems ensuring quality standards.

A Sr. Director must drive business development, manage client relationships, and oversee budgets and schedules across land development projects in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering is required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer.
• 12+ years managerial experience.
• 12+ years of experience in Land Development engineering.
• Proficiency in appropriate software for the market.
• Excellent attention to detail and impeccable work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships and grow business in Land Development sector.
• Assist in development of business by engaging existing clients and identifying new clients.
• Meet with clients in the development community for business development purposes.
• Attend functions outside normal hours to represent LJA at events/workshops.
• Lead and manage execution of land development projects.
• Develop scope, budget, and schedule; manage design team performance.
