Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Must maintain a professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles with core technical experience.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other HDR directors, operations managers and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• Commitment to quality, improvement and HDR values.
• Active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships and coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management and ensure quality standards and delivery.
• Drive QA/QC processes and coordinate with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards, and techniques to enhance service quality.
• Develop strategic plans for the business class with market sector directors.
• Facilitate teamwork and communication across offices and functions.
• Monitor direction, policies, QA, and resources to workload allocation.
• Build expertise and production capacity through recruitment and training.
• Coordinate strategic hires within the business group.
• Support client development and project pursuits through technical experts.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and gatherings.
