Job summary

BART seeks an executive leader to deliver complex infrastructure projects within a fast-paced PMO environment. The Director-level role guides multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, procurement, construction, and delivery, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

The incumbent leads cross-department collaboration, mitigates risks, and implements best practices to enhance project delivery and organizational performance, reporting to the Chief Infrastructure Delivery

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering complex infrastructure projects across lifecycle.
• Experience with Design-Build or Progressive Design-Build.
• Knowledge of project controls: cost, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, change management.
• Experience leading multimillion-dollar capital projects under FTA/PMOC oversight.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Registration as a professional engineer in California preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic planning and leadership of engineering, construction management, program management and serves as cross-department liaison to ensure safe, reliable asset management and operations.
• Manages all assigned infrastructure assets and budgets; plans resource needs and staffing.
• Develops and implements measurement systems and root-cause analysis techniques for engineers and staff.
• Oversees maintenance programs and reliability-centered maintenance activities to optimize asset performance.
• Directs department goals, policies, and priorities for each infrastructure Delivery division.
• Monitors service delivery methods, evaluates performance, and allocates resources for improvement.
