Job summary

Blue Shield of California seeks a Senior Director, Sales Executive - IFP to accelerate membership growth for the Individual & Family Plan market. You will lead direct and channel sales teams, including broker and inside sales, with seasonal support during open enrollment.

This role is based in one of our California offices, primarily Sacramento or Woodland Hills. The candidate will bring 12+ years of relevant experience, 6+ in management, and a California Health and Life license, with

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Requires at least 12 years of prior relevant experience including 6 years of management experience.
• Requires Individual Family Plan (IFP) or Medicare health insurance sales experience.
• Requires an active Health and Life license with the California Department of Insurance.
• Requires existing relationships with key distribution channels or partners in the IFP or Medicare market within the state of California.
• Requires familiarity and/or understanding of the ACA and exchange marketplaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end leadership of the IFP direct and channel sales teams and related strategies and processes.
• Manage and mentor a sales team focusing on broker/channel sales and inside sales, plus seasonal/contracted support during open enrollment.
• Drive membership growth in California and align with Growth & State Policy Strategy leadership.
• Operate from Blue Shield offices, with footprint in Sacramento and Woodland Hills.
